Mothers are there to remind us of the kind of individuals that we want to be, and the kind of person we want our children to become!
This was a very special Mother's Day for us, because we had the opportunity to have both of our moms down to celebrate the fun day!
I of course had an amazing Mother's Day! I woke up to Callie and Josh making breakfast (not in bed...that just grosses me out to eat in bed!). When I turned around towards Callie, who was sitting in her high chair, there were two cards and a small box wrapped PERFECTLY! If you're a woman, you know what a perfectly wrapped small box means! JEWELRY!!!!
Callie and Josh bought me a Pandora Charm Bracelet for Mother's Day! One charm says "MOM" with Callie's birthstone, and the other charm is a little girl with piggy tails like Callie's! I love it and wear it daily!
Our mom's came down to hang out with us and have a nice relaxing afternoon. We took everyone to the SPAM museum! It was Larry's first time going, so we had a blast! We made sure he and Lynn raced in the SPAM Canning Game! Lynn won - even if she wouldn't have, sorry Larry, but it's Mother's Day :)
It was such a fun afternoon :) When we got back to our house, we had a delicious dinner: Build your own Shish-KoBobs! YUMMY! Chicken-Check, Steak, Check, Lots of Onion, Green Peppers & Tomatoes-Check! Sorry-I don't do mushrooms in our house :) They were delicious!
And the rain cleared away so we could eat outside on our patio - just like I hoped we could :) Callie had a great day with her two Grandma's :)
