Powdered Chocolate Chip Marshmallow Sparkle Cookies

The boys were napping and Daddy was away at work.  Callie and I were bored (okay she was bored and driving me nuts!), so I decided to do something that I have never done before (and no I never saw this on Pinterest...I'm just a brave mother).

We decided to bake cookies, only the rule: no recipe!  I pulled out the essentials that I use to make chocolate chip cookies, the measuring cups and let Callie have at it!  We started with brown sugar and moved on from there.  I tried to keep track of how much Callie was putting into the bowl of everything so I can provide a recipe!

Here she is: My perfect little Baker excited and ready to bake cookies!
Please note: she chose the "fun" items to put in the cookies!  She looked in the cupboard and pulled out the chocolate chips, marshmallows and sprinkles.

Adding some brown sugar!

One of three things that I had some say in how much she could use!  She chose the measuring spoon and I said "Just One".

Have at it girl - use as much flour as you want!

The second thing I had say in!  Eggs!  I told her she could either use one or two.  Knowing that she would want to eat her cookie dough (how can I say no when I do this all the time!? - Call me a bad role model to my child...I dare you...that stuff is amazingly addicting!)

She chose two and did an awesome job!  She's cracked eggs many times, so she knew exactly what to do!  Tap it on the bowl and open it up!  This was the first time she was completely yolk free and there weren't any shells in the bowl :)

The third thing I had say in!  We don't need too much salt!  She chose the spoon and only used it once.

Locking our mixer and turning it on..."But not too fast, mom!"  Such a professional!  Notice the pile of flour on the counter :)

Time for the chocolate chips...

Please note that it is a requirement to actually EAT some of these as you are pouring them into the bowl!  It's part of the baking experience!

Adding the marshmallows (this was actually a genius move on her part...it tasted amazing!)

The pink & purple sprinkles!

Mix it all together and then form balls...

She 100% did this entire thing!  I just pointed on the tray where she needed to put them :)  What an ooey-gooey mess!

She wanted to bake them at 7 degrees for 4 minutes, but I said how about 375 degrees for 10 minutes!  She thought that would be okay :)

Yup - I knew it!

Alright - they are a little flat due to the lack of flour, but they look great!  Just like cookies!

Callie trying hers - she loved it!

Yes, I posted this picture of you...proof that you ate some :)

Going in for seconds - Daddy Approved Cookies!

Mommy trying...yes I am this tired!

Yummy - they're delicious Callie!  Seriously- they are amazing cookies!

So here is her recipe...if you make these - I think you should follow this recipe to a T!  Remember that Callie chose the measuring cup and the amount of times she used it!

Callie McRae's Powdered Chocolate Chip Marshmallow Sparkle Cookies

1/2 teaspoon Salt
5 - 1/3 C Flour
